But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
In our Lenten Series this year, we plan to study the Scriptural account of two of God's great prophets -- Elijah and Elisha -- and the turbulent seam of history into which they were called to set forth the Word of Almighty God. Israel's national decline was marked by the merger of Baal worship with the worship of the Ancient of Days. Lessons abound for Christians who are concerned regarding similarities between the days of Elijah and Elisha and our own -- though separated by over 2,800 years.
Lessons will be held in the Fellowship Hall from 7-8 pm. The schedule is as follows:
February 23, 2011 I Kings 17-19
March 2, 2011 I Kings 20-21
March 9, 2011 Ash Wednesday Service (7 pm)
March 16, 2011 I Kings 22 - II Kings 2
